Resumo: | The objective of the project is to understand how memes - more specifically internet memes, are used as visual communication tools for the construction of narratives. Within the field of internet memes, the objectives that define this phenomenon as a transmitter of information, political criticism, sustainer of speeches and possible influencer of opinion in the political-social sphere were investigated. The starting point is four books that support the themes addressed: The Meme Machine (Blackmore, 2000), Cultura da Convergência (Jenkins, 2008), Visual Culture (Boylan, 2020) and Memes to Movement (Mina, 2019). Interviews were conducted with four producers of memetic content, namely: Memeria, Erro99, Fotochat and Gira Vinho, to understand their perceptions about the role of internet memes as a media for diffusing narratives; as creators and diffusers of memetic content and as visual media for interaction with the public. |
