Resumo: The authors presenta case of parvovirus B19 associated pure red cell aplasia in a young adult, in which no predisposing disease was identified. The etiology of pure red cell aplasia, parvovirus B19 aplastic crisis and related diseases are discussed, as well as their diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
