Resumo: | From the opportunity to streamline a project for the grandparents' house that enhances its materialisation and construction, arose this a dissertation. Motivated by the sentimental value and the fact that it could become a realisable project, we take advantage of the present moment that closes a cycle to refect about architecture and the grandparents' house, the object of study and pretext for developing the project. Digging into a living past, it unsettled us to think it's future. In this sense, the construction of the current dissertation-project, starting from successive approximations to the house, now unoccupied, intends, through drawing - the architect's work tool - to refect on various types of attitudes towards a building that wants to continue to exist. For this reason, fnding the unit and measure was essential to create the conditions to initiate the project that introduces diferent intervention strategies through the transformation of the house's interior. Consequently, it was necessary to respond to the needs and intentions of a compound family, who takes refuge in Edroso and carries the memory of a previous house, but still values its update. The expression "heres's our house" has a double meaning for us. If, on the one hand, it is the representation of the object of study - the grandparents' house - and the manifestation of a personal desire and will to transform the house, which today is confronted with a new paradigm. On the other hand, it is the refection and refex of the school-house that welcomed us, fomenting in us a particular way of thinking and practise architecture. We see, moreover, in «project argument(s) and strategy(ies)» the essay and the result of the current dissertation project, referring to the infnite number of solutions from the project that could be pointed out and, mainly, in respect to the project and project issues in the proposed transformation of a family home with history. |
