Resumo: | This article aims to analyze diversity in the political and social context, focusing on the trajectory of Herbert Daniel, a gay man and HIV-positive whose courage and engagement in the fight against the authoritarian regime in Brazil gained prominence, focusing on how the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper constructed information about his image. Through a literature and document review, as well as content analysis, we seek to understand how the newspaper addressed the narrative of Herbert, in the figure of an activist widely recognized for his actions in defense of human rights and the LGBTQIAP+ cause, highlighting the tensions between the public space and human and social rights, in addition to identifying stereotypes in news coverage and relating them to the political agenda and rights. |

Paulo construyó información sobre su imagen. A través de una revisión bibliográfica y documental, así como del análisis de contenido, buscamos comprender cómo el periódico abordó la narrativa de Herbert, en la figura de un activista ampliamente reconocido por sus acciones en defensa de los derechos humanos y de la causa LGBTQIAP+, destacando las tensiones entre el espacio público y los derechos humanos y sociales, además de identificar estereotipos en la cobertura informativa y relacionarlos con la agenda política y los derechos.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a diversidade no contexto político e social, concentrando-se na trajetória de Herbert Daniel, um homem gay e soropositivo cuja coragem e engajamento na luta contra o regime autoritário no Brasil ganharam destaque, com enfoque na forma como o jornal Folha de S. Paulo construiu a informação a respeito de sua imagem.
