Resumo: Observing the development of multiple aesthetic currents in the post-World War II, one seeks in the roots of the so-called exact sciences, the abstract concepts that define new aesthetic currents of musical art. To this end, the relations between mathematics and geometry with the music developed by Karlheinz Stockhausen are sought, particularly in Gruppen (1955-57) for three orchestras, as well as between the laws of physics and their exportation to the architectural and musical concepts of Iannis Xenakis. , focusing on Metastaseis (1953-54) for 61 musicians.
