Resumo: This study aims to understand to what extent the working conditions to which health professionals are exposed daily (work overload and the availability of PPE) will affect the occupational stress of these workers. As these conditions have changed very significantly with the advent of COVID19, it becomes important to understand the differences between the first confinement and the subsequent period. This research has a sample of 114 health professionals and all the data was collected through online and physical questionnaires. To test the hypotheses, linear regressions and tests for independent samples were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23. According to the analyses performed the results show that, contrary to what was predicted, overload does not explain a significant part of occupational stress in health professionals, but in opposition, it was proven that the availability of PPE negatively predicts work stress, although this relationship does not show significant differences between the two time periods.
