Resumo: | This article analyses how privatization influences corporate culture and employee well-being. The study was done in three companies, one of them with two data collections, allowing for cross-sectional and quasi-longitudinal analyses. Corporate culture changed towards a greater emphasis on the 'softer' aspects of management. Occupational stress was higher and job satisfaction lower, before and immediately after privatization. Mental and physical ill health was higher in the privatized companies. |
