(...)A angiocardiografia de equilíbrio é um poderoso meio de diagnóstico que permite avaliar de forma não invasiva a função cardíaca. Através da injecção intravenosa de um traçador radioactivo (99m Tc) são marcados os glóbulos vermelhos. Este facto possibilita, com o auxílio de uma câmara de raios gama e de um computador, a obtenção de parâmetros hemodinâmicos quantitativos que caracterizam a função ventricular esquerda. Torna-se ainda possível avaliar regionalmente a função cardíaca mediante a criação de imagens funcionais e respectiva análise semiquantitativa.
