Resumo: | What if buildings rotated to follow the sun, as if they were living spaces? In the 15th century, the Italian architect Antonio Averlino, better known as Filarete, proposed the construction of a rotating tower, which rotated around a central axis. In the 20th century, Le Corbusier introduced the concept of the "Living Machine", defending the application of industrial and functional principles in the design of buildings and cities. In the 21st century, with the technological developments achieved in the meantime, both the rotating tower proposed by Filarete, and the concept of "Living Machine" proposed by Le Corbusier, left the field of utopia, to the field of reality. The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the concepts of Kinetic Architecture, Passive Solar Architecture and Intelligent Architecture, in the light of existing literature, and their respective evolution, as tools that brought viability to this dream of creating a living architecture, based on the idea of movement. Additionally, the path of the company Casas Em Movimento will be explored, as a Case Study in the application of these concepts to different products and to Buildings In Motion (Edifícios Em Movimento). As a result of the elaborated research, and the analysis of the Case Study, it was possible to observe an increasingly stronger interconnection between the different theoretical concepts already mentioned. This integration translates not only into greater complexity, but also into a greater range of possibilities, particularly in the field of architecture. Kinetic Architecture as a source of movement, Intelligent Architecture as a way of managing and interacting with movement, and Passive Solar Architecture as a way of taking advantage of movement for the purpose of air conditioning the space. |
