Resumo: The Internet has been growing exponentially in recent years, having a major impact on how information is passed on to people. The technology has served different purposes, especially in the field of Psychology, where its potential use in mental health interventions is identified, namely to help people change certain thoughts and behaviors, promoting their psychological well-being. Throughout university journey, there are many challenges that a student has to face, such as managing anxiety, time, methods of work, among others. It is therefore imperative that universities take an active role in promoting the well-being and mental health of their students in order to help them overcome these challenges. The present project consists of the development of an interactive web platform for university students that aims to contribute to their psychological well-being by providing contents and exercises based on the principles of cognitive-behavioral and positive psychology therapies, constituting a tool for self-help and mutual-help. After a research on already existing platforms within the scope of this project and a research on the concepts of Psychology on which this project is based, the necessary requirements and functionalities for the platform were defined. Based on this specification, some technologies (content management systems, frameworks and databases) were analyzed to be used in the implementation of the solution. During the platform development process, usability tests and focus groups were conducted with students from different areas in order to detect possible errors and receive new suggestions and feedback to meet their considerations. The technologies used for development have proven to be useful and able to meet the specified requirements, and usability tests have revealed that the platform does not contain any major issues that undermine this attribute, with test results being improved with each test performed.

A tecnologia tem servido diferentes propósitos, sobretudo no campo da Psicologia, em que está identificado o seu potencial uso em intervenções de saúde mental, nomeadamente para ajudar as pessoas a mudar determinados pensamentos e comportamentos, promovendo o seu bem-estar psicológico. No decurso da caminhada universitária, são muitos os desafios que um estudante tem de enfrentar, como por exemplo gerir a ansiedade, o tempo, métodos de trabalho, entre outros. Impera por isso que as universidades tenham um papel ativo na promoção do bemestar e saúde mental dos seus estudantes de forma a ajudá-los a superar esses desafios. O presente projeto consiste no desenvolvimento de uma plataforma web interativa, destinada a estudantes universitários, que visa contribuir para o bem-estar psicológico destes, disponibilizando conteúdos e exercícios baseados nos princípios das terapias cognitivo-comportamental e da psicologia positiva, constituindo esta uma ferramenta de autoajuda e também de entreajuda. Depois de efetuar uma pesquisa sobre plataformas já existentes dentro do âmbito do projeto e sobre os conceitos de Psicologia sobre os quais este projeto se alicerça, prosseguiu-se com a definição dos requisitos e funcionalidades necessárias para a plataforma. Com base nesta especificação foram analisadas tecnologias (sistemas de gestão de conteúdo, frameworks e bases de dados) para utilizar na implementação da solução. Durante o processo de desenvolvimento da plataforma foram feitos testes de usabilidade e focus groups com estudantes de diversas áreas de forma a detetar possíveis erros e receber novas sugestões e feedback para ir ao encontro das suas considerações.
