Resumo: This article discusses the morphology of the single-family residential scale located in the Plano Piloto of Brasilia, taking space syntax as a theoretical and methodological apparatus. The original projects were analyzed both at the building and urban scale, based on the primary sources researched at the Public Archive of the Federal District. The popular typology of terraced houses, although not present in Lucio Costa’s original project, was soon inserted into the plan during construction to solve the staff’s housing demand even before the inauguration of the capital. The VGA's of the original projects demonstrate that the criteria for privacy and social separation between employers and employees are replicated. The insertion of this traditional way of living creates a dichotomy with the model originally proposed for the Superquardas, especially regarding heritage preservation, since the legislation did little to prevent or supervise changes to the terraced houses.

Foram analisados os projetos originais, tanto na escala edilícia quanto na urbana, a partir de pesquisa nas fontes primárias disponíveis no Arquivo Público do Distrito Federal. A tipologia habitacional geminada popular, embora não estivesse presente no projeto original de Lucio Costa, logo foi inserida à época da construção à oeste da via W3 sul, com vistas a solucionar a demanda por habitação para servidores antes mesmo da inauguração da capital. As VGA’s dos projetos originais demonstram que critérios de proteção à intimidade e separação entre patrões e empregados são replicados.
