Resumo: | Faced with a world that is still very hostile to all of us and seeking to amplify women's voices in the deconstruction of patriarchal culture, as a way of combating and preventing gender-based violence, we developed the present investigation. Believing in the transformative potential of art, we used five feminist songs from the album 'Deus é Mulher' by brazilian singer Elza Soares as the initial source of our work. From these first findings, the desire to learn how music can be a pedagogical tool to promote/enhance social activism and provide space for women's voices and artistic expressions arose. We joined forces with eight other women co-participants who carried out an analysis of the study of the poetic language of five songs from the album. We seek, with the co-participants, for a fairer citizenship through social activism using artistic tools (workshops), understanding the formative dimensions through feminist music as an instrument of non-formal education and improving our knowledge about art as an empowering form in the search for a more egalitarian society. A focus group among women who, by investigating, analyzing and reflecting on the proposed songs, join together in a common goal, which aspires to a fairer and safer world for all people, through the artistic construction of women's voices. In the work of analyzing the thematic content of the songs, also through artistic expression, the co-participants exalt the importance of sisterhood between women, of each one's place of speech, of denaturalizing violence, of prioritizing happiness and not get discouraged, of recognizing the emotional and rational side of being a woman, the invitation to bother, face, not accept, fight oppression, to recognize, also, that there are different ways of being a woman, to see women represented in an integral way in religions, to not accept the qualification of "goddesses" to mask female overload, to combat sexism in language, to identify what moves us, to have an active voice, not to remain silent in the face of violence against women, to consider ourselves capable, to express ourselves artistically through feminist music and, above all, the collaboration of messages from a feminist musical album for the deconstruction and prevention of gender-based violence against women. We therefore understand the importance of our investigation for gender studies and the prevention of gender-based violence, as well as assuming its incompleteness. Keywords: Gender-based violence; Education through art; Feminisms; Empowerment. |
