Resumo: | In her orientation paper presented at an International Seminar organized by the Department of Social Work headed by the author, Aida Ferreira seeks to draw attention to the intrerventionist role of Social Work in the contemporary societies and to the impact of globalization upon the Social Work. The Social Work is defined in its varied dimensions and the problem is formulated in terms of the limitations and / or challenges faced by Social Work at local levels in the context of the policy decisions that come from beyond the individual nation-states. |
