Resumo: The paper aims to make a reading of the myth of Deucalion from the considerations expressed by Nietzsche and Foucault concerning the exemplary nature of the punishments applied to the offenses committed. The transgression they have produced is of such magnitude that it merits a type of punishment inscribed on the scene of the punitive festival. It is about tracing certain prehistory of the art of making people suffer. We can think of the framing of the work from Foucault's archaeological proposal, and see the myth as a first layer of that political technology of making people suffer, as a way to repair a lack that has blocked a prevailing norm.

La transgresión que han producido es de tal envergadura que amerita un tipo de castigo inscrito en el escenario de la fiesta punitiva. Se trata de rastrear una cierta prehistoria del arte de hacer sufrir. Podemos pensar el encuadre del trabajo desde la propuesta arqueológica de Foucault, y ver al mito como una primera capa de esa tecnología política de hacer sufrir, como un modo de reparar una falta que ha jaqueado una normatividad imperante. Desandar la huella de la historia de los castigo nos lleva al mito como relato emblemático de la soberanía. La figura de Zeus supone la dureza y la crueldad del castigo para aquellos que han osado subvertir el orden real. Los hombres de la última raza han cometido ese tipo de falta que horada los cimientos mismos de lo real; por ello el castigo debe ser ejemplar, aleccionador y tomar la forma de un espectáculo para que la lección paradigmática sea internalizada. El trabajo se articulará en tres momentos. Un primer apartado referido al Mito de Deucalión analizado con aportes que van más allá del objeto de análisis. Un segundo momento donde se analiza la escena del castigo impartido por Zeus a los hombres. El episodio se pondrá en relación con las consideraciones de Nietzsche acerca de la relación memoria-castigo. Un tercer momento en el que se analiza el premio y el castigo que Zeus inaugura como modo de reafirmar su soberanía.
