Resumo: | The paper aims to make a reading of the myth of Deucalion from the considerations expressed by Nietzsche and Foucault concerning the exemplary nature of the punishments applied to the offenses committed. The transgression they have produced is of such magnitude that it merits a type of punishment inscribed on the scene of the punitive festival. It is about tracing certain prehistory of the art of making people suffer. We can think of the framing of the work from Foucault's archaeological proposal, and see the myth as a first layer of that political technology of making people suffer, as a way to repair a lack that has blocked a prevailing norm. |

The myth of the flood in the logic of reward and punishment: punitive feast, suffering and memory. The case of DeucalionEl mito del diluvio en la lógica del premio y el castigo: fiesta punitiva, sufrimiento y memoria. El caso de DeucaliónThe paper aims to make a reading of the myth of Deucalion from the considerations expressed by Nietzsche and Foucault concerning the exemplary nature of the punishments applied to the offenses committed.
