Satisfação conjugal e aliança terapêutica: um estudo comparativo entre casamentos e recasamentos em terapia de casal

The couple dyad, associated with all her characteristics, is one of the most studied systems at a psychotherapeutic level. The couple is considered as a relational fabric in permanent creation where similarities and differences, proximities and distances, complementarities and symmetries are intertwined.It´s under the perception and experience gaze of these characteristics that the judgment of greater or lesser marital satisfaction emerges.These constructs come into play when the therapist interacts with the individual and couple systems, resulting in conceptual formulations and giving rise to different therapeutic alliance measurement methods. Using a clinical sample of 512 subjects (256 women and 256 men) in couple therapy, the present quantitative and dyadic study has as main objective the study of the differences between first marriage/cohabitation couples and couples in remarriage relationships, at the level of relational and marital satisfaction, therapeutic alliance, emotional regulation, among others. The associations and differences, both in terms of the stability of marital satisfaction and therapeutic alliance, were also explored between these two groups. The results showed that, in a therapeutic context, there are no significant differences between individuals and between marriage or remarriage couples, either in terms of marital satisfaction or therapeutic alliance. The present study has some implications for clinical practice, like lay emphasis at the need to assess the interaction between the dimensions of marital satisfaction and therapeutic alliance of both romantic partners. This interaction results in multiple possibilities for intervention and promotion of relationship quality, and for the long term therapy effect and success providing, above all, a favorable, adjusted and enabler environment that promotes individuals and couples adaptive dyadic processes.
