For this, they have to give up part of their earnings and, depending on various factors, the pension can take different dimensions. In the United Kingdom (UK), this process differs from other countries. Between 1978 and 1997, people could choose whether to contribute their taxes in full to the government or to transfer part of that contribution to a private pension fund provided by the company where they worked, always complying with the rules imposed by the state. This part of the pension was called the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) and the remainder was Excess (XS). However, in 2018, a claim by some female members, due to gender inequalities felt in the pension calculation, led Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to impose on all pension funds readjust pensions to eliminate these differences. Nevertheless, the state did not indicate how companies should apply the necessary changes, leaving them only to present the method used. All of this will be decided and applied in the designated GMP treatment process. In this project, the second of four phases of this process will be studied: the Rectification of the Guaranteed Minimum Pension. This is based on the recalculation of values and updating of the information used in each person's pension. For this, recalculation methods already used will be evaluated in Excel and the results will be measured using the Pension Wealth concept to see not only the current adjustments but also future pension growth.Com o passar dos anos, as pessoas se preocupam cada vez mais em poupar e, por isso, optam por constituir um fundo de pensão com o objetivo de garantir uma renda após a idade da aposentadoria. Para isso, têm que abrir mão de parte de seus ganhos e, dependendo de vários fatores, a pensão pode assumir diferentes dimensões. No Reino Unido (UK), esse processo difere dos outros países. Entre 1978 e 1997, as pessoas podiam escolher entre contribuir com seus impostos integralmente para o governo ou transferir parte dessa contribuição para um fundo de pensão privado fornecido pela empresa para a qual trabalhavam, cumprindo sempre as regras impostas pelo estado. A esta parte da pensão foi chamada a Pensão Mínima Garantida (PMG) e ao remanescente de Excesso (XS). No entanto, em 2018, uma reclamação por parte de alguns membros do sexo feminino, por motivos de desigualdade de género sentidos no cálculo da pensão, levou a Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) a impor a todos os fundos de pensões que reajustassem as suas pensões de forma a eliminar estas diferenças. No entanto, o estado não indicou de forma clara como é que as empresas deviam aplicar as alterações necessárias, ficando estas apenas de apresentar qual seria o método utilizado. Tudo isto será decidido e aplicado no processo designado de tratamento da PMG. Neste projeto, será estudada a segunda de quatro fases deste processo: a Retificação da Pensão Mínima Garantida. Esta baseia-se no recálculo dos valores e atualização das informações utilizadas na pensão de cada pessoa, de forma a garantir que as pensões estão prontas a serem equalizadas.
