Resumo: Memória autobiográfica: através do álbum fotográfico is a theoretical and pratical essay that reflects about a set of questions surrounding memory and photography. The research focuses on the construction of a tradicional photo album and its capabilities as a storage for autobiographical memories. The formation of memories in the human brain and the creation of virtual storage media serve as motto for the research in the field of memory. Photography, by allowing the record of images of nature without the individuals intervention on its behalf, offers a support that enables the visual information recording. Does the image system, conceived in the photographic album, establish an analogy with the model of creation of autobiographical memories in the human brain? Through the photographic album, I will do an analysis of photographic practices, the characteristics of human memory and virtual memory which takes the form of a visual in a video-essay
