Resumo: The Past, however painful they may be, must occupy a decent space in historical education and, through the discipline of History, reach our students, future citizens, in a coherent and sustained manner. Becoming aware of their existence and treating them in a pedagogical and didactic way is to ensure that a reality does not become a (trans)generational problem. Their inclusion in research issues in different countries and the exchange of experiences on the processes used in different educational contexts help us to deepen our reflection, to learn from others, to relativize what seems exceptional, to incorporate into our resources the successes already experienced by others. Small reports of other experiences and provisional results of investigations that we have been rehearsing are intended, above all, to highlight the path taken in understanding "socially acute questions", seeking to avoid forgetfulness.
