Resumo: Analysis of four books by Yolanda Morazzo that were brought together in Poesia Completa (1954-2004) in the investigation of a diaspora poetics that updated official history through the exercise of memory, in transits through Portugal and Angola, in which she maintained the links identity and cultural relations with Cape Verde. Her extensive poetic work highlights the resistance of the female voice which, in the exercises of orality and other performance modalities, are aligned with the Cape Verdean nation, which she constantly remembered and revived in her diaspora verses, in the remission of creoleness through difference that will rearticulate global projects, in tension between the hegemonic and the counter-hegemonic. The article examines the reception of what was considered subaltern from the perspective of local histories that, although they identify this locus of origin, also sought to reverse prejudices that inspired the common belief that only people who are from somewhere considered privileged could “speak”. Based on Carmen Lucia Tindó Ribeiro Secco, Edward Said, Inocência Mata, Manuel Brito-Semedo, Simone Caputo Gomes, Toni Morrison, Walter Mignolo and others, I understand the poetry demanding the inclusion of wronged social segments, in Literature representing the encounter with the other.
