Resumo: This article presents a research whose main theme is the integration of the pedagogical practiceof municipal teachers with the educational use of networked technologies since a project named“Computers Lab Teaching Assistant” (“Aluno Monitor da Sala de Informática”, in Portuguese), wasimplemented by the Municipal Department of Educational Technologies (NTEM, in Portuguese), inthe city of Santa Maria, RS, Brazil.Analyze the role of the Teaching Assistant Student as a facilitator for the aforementioned integrationas well as observing the way the established relationships between students and teachers haveevolved and got transformed, besides the perceived transformations in the schools hosting theproject were among the major goals of this research. Through action research and continuingeducation workshops, throughout the year of 2017, it was intended to foster and to analyze thepotential contributions of the teaching assistant students while they were under their training. For the current research work, data regarding the perceptions of the students under the trainingoffered by the NTEM was collected in two distinct moments. The analyzed data, helped by WebQDAsoftware, allowed us to conclude that the training can significantly contribute to the development ofa profile of protagonism in the students, who are motivated to assist in the integration of educationaltechnologies in the daily school life, helping on getting the culture of collaborative learning spreadacross other students and other school staff as well as it helps in promoting digital inclusion forstudents and teachers of the municipal school network. The training offered by the project stimulated the use of technologies for educational purposes, fostering skills and attitude enhancement into the students that took the training. That eventuallyresulted in beneficial changes for the students that took the role of teaching assistants, who developedand maintained a learning-teaching process with feedback and volunteered in their school’scomputer laboratories. Possibly, these perceived transformations are the greatest social contributionthe project “Aluno Monitor” could have brought to these students, making them empowered, autonomous and protagonists within their community, thus truly shaping their citizenship.
