Resumo: All and any communication of content is language, and communication through word and image are primordial condition in graphic design, because design is a physical thing and a mental thing. Thus, this report reflects through a critical look on the concepts "word" and "image" how they can and should be project tools, and how their correlation, in professional art education, can be complementary, raising the result of the artifacts created, and how it can help in the construction of individual identity, especially in the adolescence period. It is therefore believed that in art education, drawing should submit itself to writing and writing to drawing, insofar as visual and textual elements should be "taken together, entangled in each other", as visible forms also speak and words, in the same way, have the weight of visible realities. (Rancière, J., 2011:47) Many of the arguments presented throughout this report were appropriated by resorting to a very diverse and heterogeneous set of authors.
