Resumo: The teams are working to gain focus, with increasing business competitiveness, in order to get the greatest possible success for the company with existing human resources. In this context, the success of companies in the area of information technology, primarily responsible for developing the software, not only depends on the technical expertise of the team members but especially the proper functioning, cohesion and organizaçcionais values of working teams. With the development of this dissertation is intended to contribute to building high performance teams in the area of Information Technology, based on the result of diagnosing the state of working teams according to featuring a high-performing team. The ultimate goal of this dissertation is to contribute to building high performance teams in the IT field, based on the result of diagnosing the state of working teams according to featuring a high-performing team. The diagnosis of the teams was conducted according to the application of the MBTI model, in order to know the personality profile of each team member and understand which characteristics of each individual and, subsequently, to understand if a team has the skills and personalities additional individual needed. Was also implemented an online questionnaire, to assess how different metrics that are based on how a team is characterized high yield. Given terminated by the evaluation phase of the teams, and according to the results obtained, we constructed a development methodology oriented sides to achieve individual and group potential. This whole process culminated not only in the implementation and evaluation of practices for Human Resources (HR), but also in designing a mapping software teams. This software are mapped all teams in the company and outlined their needs according to the diagnosis made. Once constructed the methodology is expected to obtain higher returns, both individually and as a team level, and thus get the appreciation of the work teams and the satisfaction of human resources, achieving the intended results and exceed expectations as well how to get take advantage of individual skills of all team members. In short, it is expected that the results are quite relevant and can be used for adapting internal management policies aimed at achieving the business success.
