This dissertation proposes an interpretive transformation of an Italian Palace, the Bardini Museum, characterized by a strong character conferred by the nineteenth-century culture, the collection of antiques, which describes the particular atmospheres of each space, designed by the antiquarian himself - Stefano Bardini. Its development is based on the question raised by the international workshop "Collecting: a strategy to enter Museo Bardini", which lays on the discussion of the need to open the museum to the city, transforming it into an active cultural equipment, and to create new internal circuits that enhance the unique character of each room. In this sense, a proposal of an extension that aims to strengthen the relationship between the pre-existing building and the new body is deepened, without changing or canceling the original character of the environments, and exploring different meanings and atmospheres from the design of a new integrated promenade, that seeks a multisensory dimension.
