Reconhecendo existir nos textos de Nietzsche uma relação complexa com o significante mulher, algumas investigações oriundas da crítica feminista têm procurado fazer o estudo dessa vertente, permitindo ler a sua obra numa perspectiva ignorada durante muito tempo. Qual a razão de a mulher afirmativa ser identificada, por Nietzsche, com a mãe, por sua vez identificada com uma mãe masculina? Que razão explica o facto de autores como Nietzsche e Freud continuarem a fazer o sacrifício do ‘outro’ feminino na sua reflexão, sobretudo o feminino-mãe? Através da exploração de textos que se têm vindo a debater com estes temas - por exemplo, de Kelly Oliver, Derrida, Luce Irigaray e Ansell-Pearson -, pretende- se fazer um primeiro levantamento e ponto da situação sobre o assunto, de modo a tentar captar os contornos da relação ambígua que Nietzsche mantém com as mulheres, identificadas sobretudo com o materno. Summary Acknowledging a complex relationship with the signifier woman in the Nietzsche’s texts, several studies inspired by feminist critical theory have focused on this aspect, allowing the Nietzschen philosophy to be read from a perspective that has mostly been ignored. What is the reason for the affirmative identification, by Nietzsche, of the mother with a masculine mother? What can explain the fact that authors such as Nietzsche and Freud continue to sacrifice the ‘other’ feminine, predominantly the feminine-mother, in their thought? Following an exploration of authoritative critical texts that discuss these themes – for example, those of Kelly Oliver, Luce Irigaray, Sarah Kofman and David Farrell Krell - this paper establishes a preliminary hypothesis within the contours of the ambiguous relationship that Nietzsche had to women, primarily identified with the maternal.
