Resumo: The main goal of this work is to present some of the most notorious advances in Dental Medicine, which will probably change greatly the practice of this job. We emphasize the importance of stem cells and molecular biology in the development of dental tissues, teeth in the laboratory and teeth inside the mouth. Some of the research groups involved in these subjects are mentioned, as well as some relevant studies and their future impact in Dentistry.
