Resumo: This article discusses and problematizes the teaching of documentary cinema as an hermeneutical task, based on the Hans-Georg Gadamer’s thought. This point of view emphasizes the philosophical-interpretative trace like a fundamental component of the relationship with documentary productions, enabling new possibilities of analysis from the elaboration of projects to the imagery repercussions on the horizon of social life.

Ce point de vue met l’accent sur la trace philosophique-interprétative en tant que composante fondamentale de la relation avec les productions documentaires, ouvrant de nouvelles possibilités d’analyse depuis l’élaboration des projets jusqu’aux répercussions de l’imagerie dans l’horizon de la vie sociale.O presente artigo discute e problematiza o ensino do cinema documentáriocomo tarefa hermenêutica, tendo como referência o pensamento de Hans-Georg Gadamer.
