Accessible religious tourism

The work discusses the potentiality of the accessibility for tourism at the five main churches of the city of Planaltina/DF, from the view of the visual and motor disability. It analyzes critically, how is the situation of the infrastructure of the churches, and how is the perception of the management in charge, concerning the importance of this kind of tourists. We noticed the relevance of the churches in the scene of tourism, because they are considered places to be visited, being searched by regional visitors, by national visitors and even by visitors from foreing nations. In this contexto, the accessibility is a keypoint, because through it, the disabled can get the social inclusion. The results of our studies showed that the investigated churches don’t have complete accessibility, although the interviewed persons in charge are conscious of the necessity of it. In this sense, we recommend to foment public politics which enable buildings like these temples, to be, in fact, acessible by the most diverse visitors, including the visual and motor disabled ones.
