Resumo: Conventual pharmacy represents an area of considerable importance in Portuguese and European pharmacy, including both convent apothecaries and apothecarians. In this article, the authors provide a general characterization of the Portuguese 18th century pharmacy in an international context and underline the role of pharmaceutical literature and its contribution for the importance of conventual pharmacy and analyse, within this framework, the Pharmacopea Lusitana (1704) by the ecclesiastic author D. Caetano de Santo António, as well as the inventory of the apothecary of the Convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo (Aveiro).

En este artículo los autores caracterizan de una forma general la farmacia del siglo XVIII portugués en el contexto internacional, destacan la literatura farmacéutica, dando a conocer la importancia de la farmacia conventual, y analizan en este contexto la Pharmacopea Lusitana (1704), escrita por el religioso D. Caetano de San Antonio y el inventario de la farmacia del Convento de Nossa Senhora do Carmo (Aveiro – Portugal).La pharmacie conventuelle portugaise est très importante dans l´histoire de la pharmacie. Dans cet article, les auteurs caractérisent généralement la pharmacie portugaise du XVIIIe siècle dans le contexte international et mettre en valeur la littérature pharmaceutique, en particulier la pharmacopée écrit par un moine — Pharmacopea Lusitana (1704). L’auteur de cette pharmacopée est un moine du Couvent de Santa Cruz de Coimbra — D. Caetano de Santo António. Dans cet article, les auteurs étudient également un inventaire conventuelle, l’inventaire de la pharmacie du couvent de Nossa Senhora do Carmo (Aveiro — Portugal).A farmácia conventual constitui um domínio de significativa importância na farmácia portuguesa e europeia: tanto as boticas conventuais como os seus boticários. No presente artigo os autores caracterizam em traços gerais a farmácia portuguesa do século XVIII no contexto internacional, destacam a literatura farmacêutica, dando a conhecer a importância da farmácia conventual e analisam nesta moldura a Pharmacopea Lusitana (1704), da autoria do religioso D.
