Future teachers’ performance in the planning of Portuguese teaching/learning situations in the light of global education

Resumo: This paper analyzes the way in which the representations on global education of future early years and primary school teachers are reflected in the promotion and analysis of teaching/learning situations in Portuguese language education. Within a Course Unit of a Professional Teaching Master’s degree, seven lesson plans and their respective rationale were collected and analyzed. Such plans were oriented towards the development of oral and written communication skills in Portuguese from a global perspective. The results show that, in general, the participants recognized global education more as a theoretical framework rather than as goals, contents and activities to be developed in teaching/learning situations.Consequently, we recognize that it is necessary to include across teacher education curricula more activities based on the analysis and experimentation of concrete practices in which global education arises from curricular development in different areas, particularly in/on Portuguese language teaching.

Como parte de una asignatura de un Máster de Formación de Profesorado se recogieron y analizaron siete planes de clase y sus justificaciones teóricas orientados al desarrollo de habilidades en comunicación oral y escrita en portugués desde una perspectiva global. Los resultados apuntan que, en general, los futuros maestros reconocieron la educación global más como base de fundamentación teórica que propiamente como metas, contenidos y actividades a trabajar en situaciones de enseñanza-aprendizaje. A partir de esa observación, se reconoce la necesidad de desarrollar, transversalmente al currículo de formación docente, más dinámicas basadas en el análisis y experimentación de prácticas concretas en las que la educación global sea implementada a partir de diferentes áreas curriculares, particularmente en Lengua Portuguesa.Este estudo analisa o modo como futuros educadores de infância e professores do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico espelham as suas representações sobre a educação global na promoção e análise de situações de ensino/aprendizagem no campo da educação em Português. No âmbito de uma Unidade Curricular de um mestrado profissionalizante foram recolhidas e analisadas sete planificações, e respetivas fundamentações, orientadas para o desenvolvimento de competências em comunicação oral e escrita em Português a partir de uma perspetiva global.
