Resumo: This text will try to unveil the sounds within the poetry of António Ramos Rosa: poet of simple and earth-bounded words, aspiring to touch the deep, cosmic truth. On attempting to hear the music in his words, we will inevitably establish meaningful relationships between poetry and music – an organic bondage that has existed since the beginning of language. With his words, Ramos Rosa establishes pure links between nature and reality in such a way that can take us back to the primitive and cosmic silence, the primitive and cosmic Truth. Attaining the pure essence of words within the core of completeness is conquered with the simplicity of an erotic ritual of soundspiercing through his poems.

Tentar ler o que os seus versos nos cantam foi o passo que inevitavelmente se seguiu. Poesia e música sempre estiveram intimamente ligadas ao longo dos tempos, influenciando-se e tocando-se profundamente. Deste modo, podemos chegar à conclusão de que existem musicalidades inerentes a qualquer acto verbal. Na poesia roseana, estas musicalidades revestem-se de características específicas e servem perfeitamente como veículo da sua mensagem poética acerca do real e do natural, que se encontram impregnados de um erotismo térreo e visceral. A musicalidade inerente às palavras de Ramos Rosa é uma musicalidade que procura incessantemente regressar ao silêncio absoluto e cósmico, que encerra a verdade do real.
