The competitive advantage of companies emerges from the indispensable and urgent capacity for innovation, the result of the need and the demand for efficiency and sustainability. In view of this, innovation has turned into a key process for the survival and maintenance of organizations in the market. From this perspective, organizations require innovative products, services, and processes. It is through this purpose that certification organizations aim and design standards that facilitate and optimize innovation, in order to make organizations even more proactive and dynamic. This internship report was developed in Bosch Termotecnologia S.A. Aveiro, where it is explicit the inexistence of an innovation process and the problems that arise from it. The results of this report confirm and support the added value that standards promote in organizations and how they can improve innovation. The same results also present a contribution to Sustainable Development Goal number 9 - Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
