Resumo: It is common in the collective imagination, the monsters are hideous and deformed in appearance. But, are as the monsters to the body? This article aims to present which the monsters are plaguing the male body in the homoerotic press and show the best way for combating them more effectively. Fat, wrinkles and other marks become threats to the representation of the condition of the body, but technology and consumption, somehow, soften the atrocities of those monsters in media representation. The control and discipline of the body also away the harmful symptoms that these monsters may cause. The corpus of analysis of this research is the covers of Junior magazine, only homoerotic printed publication that is in circulation in Brazil.

Mas, como são os monstros para o corpo? Esse artigo pretende apresentar quais são os monstros que assolam o corpo masculino na imprensa homoerótica e a relação existente para combatê-los de modo mais eficaz. Gordura, rugas e outras marcas se tornam ameaças para a representação dessa condição do corpo, mas a tecnologia e o consumo, de alguma forma, amenizam as atrocidades desses monstros na representação midiática. O controle e a disciplina do corpo também afastam os sintomas nocivos que esses monstros podem causar.
