Resumo: The present report portrays everything that was accomplished by a pre-service teacher (the author) during a supervised school placement. This results from a process of a pre-service teacher towards the dream of being a Physical Education teacher, thus approaching his path until the moment when he feels that his dream is close to becoming reality. The school placement is the first contact with the teaching profession and where numerous learnings are acquired, not only in theory but by experiencing the real context with the supervision of more experienced professionals. The school where the internship took place was in a secondary school in Vila Nova de Gaia and the assigned class was a 12th grade class. This journey would not have been possible without the support of my fellow intern students, the cooperating teacher, and the mentor teacher, who guided and helped me throughout this process. Throughout this report, my entire story will be presented, all the difficulties I felt, and the strategies used to overcome these difficulties. In addition, all the activities in which I was involved will be mentioned, as well as my participation within the school nucleus. All the choices and decisions I made always aimed to provide quality education, as well as my professional development. The use of distributed practice was an important discovery since it offers greater guarantees of learning to students. The use of assessment methodology for learning and the use of technology for the development of the physical fitness program were also important discoveries, as they place the student at the center of the educational process, that is, they become builders of their own learnings. This report also includes an action research study. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of applying a physical fitness development program in secondary school students. The results obtained indicate that the applied training program presents improvements in the physical fitness of the students.
