Resumo: There are several breast imaging techniques. These techniques have known an important evolution, either by improvement of existing techni- ques such as mammography, ultrasound and MRI, or by the emergence of new techniques such as tomosynthesis. The authors discuss the breast imaging techniques, their indications and features, as well as some technological aspects that correspond to recent improvements. Keywords: Breast imaging, mammography, Breast Cancer, Breast MR, Intervention breast procedures.

Estes métodos têm conhecido uma evolução importante, quer por melhoria de técnicas como a mamografia, ecografia e Ressonância Magnética, quer pelo aparecimento de novas técnicas, como a tomossíntese. Os autores abordam as diferentes técnicas de Imagem da mama, as suas indicações e características, bem como alguns aspectos tecnológicos que correspondem a melhorias recentes.
