Resumo: Serious games are a developing area that has stood out mainly in education and health. One field that has recently begun to be explored is the application of this type of games in the recruitment of human resources for companies. In this particular case, serious gaming can be used as a tool to evaluate the skills of potential candidates for a company. Results of a survey carried out in an article on recruitment and selection practices in Portugal point out that 76.1% of Portuguese companies would like to have new instruments for the evaluation of highly sought skills such as motivation to learn, teamwork and communication, however these skills are very difficult to evaluate by the selection methods currently used. During job interviews, to which are subject several candidates, sometimes realizing the type of skills that each candidate possesses becomes complex. In addition, each interview has a limited time which is not always enough to get the information you need. This problem can lead to inaccurate or fallacious information resulting from the interviews. This dissertation intends to solve the mentioned problems. The main objectives are the development of a tool capable of generating a serious game, based on a list of conditions previously defined by the companies, that allows to evaluate the skills that are not normally contemplated in the usual job interviews. The game recreates situations that lead candidates to evidence these skills through their behavior or decision. In addition, this solution streamlines the process of selecting candidates with a low-cost investment by companies. After the implementation of the tool this is tested using real users. These tests are essential to corroborate the effectiveness of the game. In short, companies can choose to use software during their recruitment process using this technology that provides entertainment and encourages the involvement of the candidate while their skills are evaluated, facilitating the process to companies returning reliable and organized results.
