Resumo: The authors emphazise the difficulties in the treatment of primary amyloidosis concerning not only the results but also the problems in evaluating its efficacy. Several therapeutics are reviewed and some considerations are made about the implications of treatment in the desease of yhe organs involved. Finally, they propose the alpha-interferon for treatment of primary amyloidosis.
