Psicologia do Desporto no futebol de formação: Da Intervenção à investigação com atletas e treinadores

This internship report was developed within the framework of obtaining the master's degree in Sport Psychology and Human Development. The curricular internship took place at Futebol Clube do Porto, in the 2022/2023 season and was within the scope of the Psychology department. The report describes my intervention in that institution and the activities carried out, including observations, formal and informal individual sessions, monitoring in tournaments, weekly logbooks, mid-term and final meetings with the parents of the athletes. An investigation was also carried out on four coaches of a football club in the north of Portugal. The research aimed to analyze the perception that coaches had about the role of the psychologist within the team. To carry out the present investigation, a semi-structured interview was used about the perception of the coaches about the role of the sports psychologist and his work with the team, the questions were based on the questionnaire "Attitudes of Sports Psychology". All the coaches were unanimous in the positive responses and stressed the importance of the work of the sports psychologist within a training football club. Finally, a reflection is made, which contains the main difficulties and learnings of the curricular internship.
