Produção de Conteúdos Multimédia e Suporte ao Desenvolvimento do Branding de um Programa de Formação Inovador na Área de Segurança, Contemplando Conteúdos E - Learning, Sensorização, Realidade Virtual e Gaming

Resumo: The proposed objective of this dissertation was to design and test innovative and structured ways to use multimedia contents, with the purpose of creating a training program in the safety area, for workers in industrial environments. The work developed resulted in the creation of multimedia contents, in the form of E-Learning applications, also using Sensing, Virtual Reality and Digital Games. These projects were made in a curricular internship context at the company Sonae Arauco, located in Maia, Porto. Until the completion of this dissertation, there was no systematic and structured approach in the company to provide safety training to their workers. When necessary, relevant information was usually transmitted in text format, without using other types of media or digital supports and without adopting a well designed strategy. With this dissertation, it was possible to define a methodology for the creation of a structured program, containing specific multimedia contents, destined to all employees, in different training actions, and in the several countries where the company is present. To validate the adopted approach, a set of applications was developed using different types of technologies, and the main priority was to obtain the best possible level of retention of information by employees, in the expectation that this will translate into better results in the area of safety, this being a reduction in work accidents and a greater awareness of the risks in the functions and activities of the company. To achieve the intended results, a specific methodology was adopted, divided into three different phases. Initially, there was an internal research (documents of Sonae Arauco), in which it was sought to know more about all the safety contents that would have to be transmitted to the employee. Having that matter, a research was done regarding the technologies that were selected for the training program, trying to find out what has been done in each one of them, as well as their advances, in a certain context. Finally, the projects were produced, applying the ideas that emerged from the previous phases. These ideas, with the objective of trying to capture the maximum attention of the collaborators, materialized in several actions in the different projects. On the one hand, in the E-Learning training methods, visual and interactive contents were created, such as animations, videos, reward systems, among others. On the other hand, the use of specific technologies/methodologies included in the training (Sensing, Virtual Reality and Video Game) can already be considered an important step in the idea of knowledge retention by the trainee, because they have characteristics that contribute to that goal. Once these were completed, they were presented to several company employees, some with direct responsibilities in security, others who are indirectly connected to this area, who viewed and analyzed the visual and interactive content produced, and were convinced that these projects will have a positive contribution in the company's outlook, contributing to achieve the objectives set by the organization.
