This Master's Dissertation establishes a relationship between Architecture and Dance, with the body being privileged as a mediating element of the two arts, decisive for Architecture and the means of expression of Dance. Since this is a work that connects two distinct creative areas, a discourse was created that addressed the fundamental points of the relationship between both. There was, therefore, a constant interconnection between architects and choreographers/dancers, building and body, and important concepts such as space, time and movement were also taken into account. Several case studies were addressed, both in a national and international context. In addition to theoretical studies, there was also an experimental component through attending dance classes at the Alunos de Apolo Lisboa school and participating in the Time Scales workshop at the 42nd edition of EASA in Calarasi, Romania. The references considered also covered other areas of study adjacent to architecture such as painting, music, geometry and mathematics, philosophy and cinema. The two areas were also connected through drawing, an essential tool in architecture and potentially useful and interesting for dance, through sketching and movement notation.
