Resumo: This article is the result of an essay by which one has tried to define the partnership between the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda and the business sector of the region. The critical analysis of the present situation and of the results obtained will enable one to suggest a set of proposais in order to consolidate and make dynamic the partnership, so as to maximize the levels of competitiveness, innovation and entrepreneurship within the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda’s control area.
