Relatório de Estágio Profissional "Do sonho à realidade: a viagem atribulada de um estudante-estagiário"

Resumo: | The Scholl placement is the result of a complete training process, and it is the last step towards knowledge acquisition in the academic journey. This Report depicts the difficulties, learning's, mistakes and accomplishments of a preservice teacher (the author) during the course of their school placement. The practicum training occurred in the academic year of 2017/2018, in a school in Vila Nova de Gaia, under the supervision of a Cooperating Teacher (also a teacher of the referred school), and a supervisor of the Faculty. During the school placement I was in charge of a 12th and a 6th grade class, which contributed to my evolution as teacher. Considering the motor performance levels presented by the students, there were several difficulties I had to overcome in the search for new ways to keep them focused and committed. This practicum training was, without doubt, the most important element of my training to become a future teacher, it granted me the chance to learn that the mistakes we make do not define us; it is the way we overcome them that does. I also learned that there is no "secret formula" to teach anything; instead, we are the ones to reshape and adapt according to our surroundings, without losing the essence and values that define us. In this educational space, it was also possible to understand that students cultivate something that mandatorily connects them to us, turning their achievements and difficulties into our own. It is also relevant to mention a study performed by focusing on and learning through the students' tactical behavior in volleyball. Data showed that the students had a very suitable evolution in the diverse tactical content that was taught. In regards to future expectations, I hope to find my place as a teacher and to foster my own personal style. |
