Resumo: Bearing in mind the present social and communicative changes, the awakening to languages and cultures in pre-school is crucial, so that children develop, from this early stage on, personal, cultural and linguistic competences that allow them to treasure different languages and cultures and develop attitudes of respect towards the Other. In this scope, the game has become a promising way to enable children to contact with languages and cultures. The study presented here follows a qualitative methodology of action-research type and results from the confluence of the works of Autor (data) and Autor (data), which were based on the same pedagogical-didactic project. It considers the following guiding question: What is the contribution of the Awakening to Languages and Cultures approach by means of games to the development of the plurilingual and intercultural competences of preschool children? The main results point at potentialities for the construction of knowledge about the world of cultures, the development of capacities in the plurilingual and intercultural spheres (such as the establishment of comparisons between languages and cultures), and in the socio-affective level.

Dans ce contexte, le jeu se présente comme une voie pour une approche des enfants aux langues et aux cultures. L’étude présentée suit la méthodologie de recherche-action et émerge de la confluence des travaux de Autor (data) et Autor (data), qui ont eu pour base le même projet pédagogique et didactique. La question principale de cette étude est: Quelle est l’apport de l’approche éveil à la diversité linguistique et culturelle à travers le jeu au développement de la compétence plurilingue et interculturelle des enfants de l’école maternelle? Les principaux résultats montrent le potentiel du projet d’intervention au niveau de la construction de connaissances concernant le monde des cultures, du développement des compétences dans les domaines plurilingue et interculturel (lié par exemple, à la comparaison entre les langues et les cultures), et du point de vue socio-affectif.Face às mudanças sociais e comunicativas atuais, torna-se cada vez mais imprescindível a sensibilização à diversidade linguística e cultural de crianças em idade do pré-escolar, para que estas, desde cedo, desenvolvam competências pessoais, culturais e linguísticas que lhes permitam desenvolver o gosto pelas diferentes línguas e culturas e atitudes de respeito face ao Outro. Neste âmbito, o jogo apresenta-se como uma via promissora para as crianças se aproximarem das línguas e das culturas. O estudo aqui apresentado segue uma metodologia qualitativa de tipo investigação-ação e resulta da confluência dos trabalhos de Autor (data) e Autor (data), que tiveram por base o mesmo projeto pedagógico-didático. Tem como questão orientadora: Qual o contributo da abordagem da Sensibilização à Diversidade Linguística e Cultural através do jogo para o desenvolvimento das competências plurilingue e intercultural de crianças em idade pré-escolar?
