This article reflects on a cause -effect -solution relationship to be established for the prevention of forest fires that articulates the geography of energy with municipal planning. It is a critical reflection on the strategic role of the Municipal Master Plan and the possible contributions that the utilization and valorization of the forest biomass can make, with the view to developing municipal bioenergy clusters.
