Resumo: Not very often we are prepared to deal with peoples' real lives. The undergraduate curriculum is strongly attached to a biomedical root, living behind classical and important aspects like the individual, its global reality and interior and exterior experiences. There are moments where we are called to make a reflection. Domiciliary visits through Family Medicine offer an outstanding personal and professional experience. The confrontation with real life situations permits us to think the barrier between doctor and human being. Not to abandon being both is a pleasing but hard task. Confronted with such moments, clinical practice gives us the opportunity to revise our boundaries: being a technically good doctor and also a human being opened to dignity and the humanization of its practice.
