Resumo: The research we develop sought to analyze the representations of reading brought by students young readers of the first year of high school in public schools. We reflect on the im- portance and on the contributions from the AD to the field of reading education. We also seek to identify the representations that young students have built themselves as readers and speeches uttered about themselves as readers. For we structure our corpus we collected data through ques- tionnaires with objective questions that aimed to raise the reading representations of the young player, still rely on data collected through interviews with focus groups. Altogether 98 students of the initial years of high school participated.

Altogether 98 students of the initial years of high school participated.A pesquisa que desenvolvemos buscou analisar as representações de leitura instauradas pelos jovens leitores estudantes do primeiro ano do ensino médio de escolas públicas. Buscamos refletir sobre a importância e sobre as contribuições trazidas pela AD para o campo dos estudos da leitura. Procuramos também identificar as representações que os jovens estudantes construíram de si como leitores e os discursos que proferiram sobre si como leitores. Para estruturarmos nosso corpus realizamos a coleta de dados através de aplicação de questionários com questões objetivas que visaram levantar as representações de leitura do jovem leitor, contamos ainda com dados coletados através de entrevistas realizadas com grupos focais.
