Resumo: Sustainability is at the forefront of Mankind’s concerns. As the Luxury Fashion Industry becomes increasingly pressured to adopt more environmentally friendly practices, the existing academic literature suggests that the use of sustainable materials in luxury fashion production is poorly perceived by luxury fashion clients. Through a quantitative investigation that surveyed 125 luxury fashion buyers, this dissertation concludes that not all sustainable fibres are perceived equally, highlighting organic fibres as key materials with potential to change the image and perceived quality of sustainable textiles.
