Of the Common presents as central theme the city as a product and social production of the space common to all, refects on its limits and its identity in permanence and continuity in its (in)constant change. It is assumed as a refection of the (un)construction of the expectation of the common in our urban condition, cause and efect of the mode of massive re-production of cities, metropolises, and contemporary megalopolises, in an obsessive system of consumerism and productivity that deny the very value of life and the global crises announced every day, from pollution and global warming, to real estate speculation and social inequalities. Of a theoretical nature, it aims to refect on space as a social product that arises from the need to respond to changes in the paradigm of social practices of a society - what is the city today? What is, today, its public and collective dimension, in a time when these spaces result from the constant movement and re-interpretation of the metamorphosis of what life is?
