Resumo: Since the cruise industry is accountable to pollute the oceans, marine wildlife and port cities, an environmental analysis was conducted of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd (RCL) through “RCL –Environmental Impact”. Cruise ships release very harmful gases which are responsible for damaging the ozone layer, increasing the risk of human diseases and greenhouse gases. The shift to LNG powered vessels started in 2019 with prospects to proliferate to the entire cruise industry fleet in the long-run. The environmental issues are a risk factor that can impact negatively the industry if cruise lines don’t take sustainable measures.
