Resumo: The aim of this paper is to introduce the discussion on racism and racial inequality in Brazilian society. Thus, it is intended to analyze the conjuncture in which a black population is inserted in Brazil, as consequences of slavery, racism and racial inequalities even today. It also seeks to point out legislative and political developments that are being implemented in favor of the black population. However, the research reveals that advances have not yet been sufficient to promote equality between blacks and whites, which is why the bet is on changing thinking and recognizing the privileges arising from skin color, as well as expanding legislation , actions, systems and policies that aim to root out racism and racial inequality in Brazil. Deductive reasoning is an essential tool for the execution of this work, since based on data from official publications from research sources, which will be used through newspaper articles, articles, doctrines, jurisprudence, it will be possible to verify the existence of racism structural, a phenomenon that has great repercussions on the way in which relations and the Brazilian State are organized.
